Wood stoves test system

The system allows to realize comparative tests on wood stoves working in different environmental conditions; It is built by a SCADA client station and a TCP/IP server linked to a network of data acquisition modules. In the test room a Pt100 temperature sensor matrix measures accurately the spatial thermal diffusion. In the SCADA system, temperatures are shown as thermographic maps in order to give a first view of the thermal situation.

In order to relate temperature distributions with environmental parameters, data acquisition system has been integrated with internal and external humidity measures, atmospheric pressure measure and smoke temperatures measure.

The system records gathered data, allowing successive analysis. It is also possible to analyse every measure group trend in time related charts.

Controllo qualità nei trattamenti termici dei metalli

Il sistema è stato realizzato per garantire il controllo qualità sui trattamenti termici eseguiti in un reparto composto da forni eterogenei (forni multicamera, rinvenimenti, forni a pozzo, forni di tempra e di ricottura), sostituendo i tradizionali registratori a carta e generando rapporti di produzione.

I forni, ognuno dotato della propria strumentazione (Plc Siemens, regolatori Eroelectronic e Gefran, registratori), possono eseguire diversi tipi di trattamento (bonifica, ricottura, cementazione, rinvenimento). Il sistema raccoglie i dati dei trattamenti di tutto l'impianto in parallelo (moduli di acquisizione dati) alla strumentazione di controllo esistente senza perturbarne il funzionamento; i dati raccolti (temperature, percentuali carbonio) vengono confrontati continuamente con i valori delle curve teoriche impostate nelle ricette al fine di verificare la qualità del processo.

Al termine di ogni processo produttivo vengono stilati i rapporti di produzione che riportano i dati anagrafici delle cariche, le curve delle grandezze del processo e gli eventuali allarmi verificatisi. Tutti dati storici e tutti i rapporti vengono esportati in formato compatibile con Microsoft Office e resi disponibile in rete per il reparto controllo qualità.

Gli allarmi provenienti dai processi, dalle macchine vengono registrati e telesegnalati al personale addetto alla manutenzione e, in caso di impianto non presidiato, al personale di sorveglianza.

Due stazioni PClog client e un server PClog TCP/IP forniscono l'interfaccia operatore del sistema e garantisco l'integrità dei dati e la continuità di funzionamento dell'impianto. Questo sistema si presta ad essere impiegato in tutte quelle realtà produttive nelle quali sia necessario avere una visione di insieme sulla qualità di più processi eseguiti in parallelo su più macchine non dotate di supervisione locale.

Quality control in metal heat treatment

The system has been designed to ensure the quality control for heat treatments in a plant division equipped with heterogeneous furnaces (multi-chamber furnaces, pit furnaces, tempering and hardening furnaces), replacing traditional paper recorders and creating production report.

Furnaces are equipped with their own instrumentation (PLCs, Eroelectronic/Gefran controllers, recorders) and can perform different kind of heat treatments (hardening, tempering, annealing, stabilization, normalization). The system gathers heat treatments measures of all division from a parallel data acquisition network without entering any interference to the existing control instrumentation; collected data (temperatures, carbon percentages) are continuously referred to theoretical curves values set in every production recipe to verify the quality of the process.

At the end of every production process, reports are generated containing load identification data, process variable curves and alarms. All historical data and reports are exported in a Microsoft Office compliant format and extended to the quality control division.

Alarms coming from process and machines are recorded and broadcast to maintenance staff and, in case of not guarded plant, to surveillance staff.

Two PClog client stations and a PClog server TCP/IP provide system HMI, ensure data integrity and maintain plant work continuity. This system is well suited in those cases where it is important to have global vision of several process executed by several machines without local HMI.

Now Winlog Pro SCADA software supports the BACnet over IP protocol.

BACnet, defined by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating and Air-conditioning Engineers) is a protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, access control and fire detection.

The BACnet protocol defines a number of services that are used to communicate between building devices. The protocol services include Who-Is, I-Am, Who-Has, I-Have, which are used for Device and Object discovery. Services such as Read-Property and Write-Property are used for data sharing.

As of ANSI/ASHRAE 135-2016, the BACnet protocol defines 60 object types that are acted upon by the services.

Winlog Pro supports a subset of BACnet objects as Analog Input/Output, Binay Input/Output, Calendar and Scheduler etc.
